His tireless hard work, kindness, professionalism, and compassion for students is unparalleled. I first met Robert when he was a long-term sub at Sheldon High School in the Fall of 2019. I have been in education for nearly twenty years and Robert is as natural around students as anyone I have ever met. Additionally, Robert is one of the most professional and easy to get along with people I have ever known. I do not make these comments lightly, but with Robert, they are amazingly true.

Robert’s time at Frazier Associates was exemplary; he is incredibly intelligent and a very quick learner while exhibiting a very positive attitude in any task that he takes on in the office. He brings new meaning to being a team player and would be a very valuable contributor to any setting that takes advantage of his skills.

Mr. Rhodes takes the initiative to identify problems and devise solutions. His role as both a graphic designer and as the director of a large volleyball club requires strong communication skills, and he has shown that he not only has these skills, but that he also has the ability to inspire. He definitely has the patience and experience to make solid decisions.

Robert is an outstanding educator and the students respect him as such. He has become an asset to our department and to Sheldon as a whole. He has a "can do" attitude which is evidenced by the way in which he stepped in, as a Computer Science Teacher, for another teacher during a long-term absence and no only assumed responsibility for the curriculum but ensured that it was delivered beyond expectations. Along with his technology background, he has a great understanding of content and strategies that are very necessary within the school's diverse population.

Robert brings many strengths to the workplace. He puts creativity into everything he does whether it's designing t-shirts, logos for the region, or creating a brand for the club. He is also creative when engaging people. We've seen him create interesting ideas on the court to energize and connect with his players. Robert brings a strong passion to his work. He believes in what he is doing and dedicates himself to it. Above all else, Robert is honest, trustworthy and is of high moral character. In volleyball, success is often measured in wins and loses; however, Robert focuses on much more than the scoreboard. He holds himself and his players to a higher standard of doing things the right way.

We've known Robert Rhodes since 2007 through the Charlottesville Area Volleyball Club as a volleyball player, coach, and Executive Director. During that time, we trusted him with the care of our daughter starting at the age of 9 during practices, clinics, and tournaments until she recently graduated high school. We also worked with him on the business side of running the volleyball club. We've worked with Robert as he has expanded the club tremendously. Robert has proven to be creative, passionate, and exhibits high integrity.

... I have known Mr. Rhodes for over ten years, both as a coach and director for the Charlottesville Area Volleyball Club (CAVC). Our first experience with Robert was as a coach of our middle daughter, Katie. In this capacity, he showed tremendous patience, passion, and skill in communicating with young women who had different personalities and skill levels. He also is person of upstanding moral character, which was evident in both his relationships with his players and with their parents. Our children have had numerous coaches over the last ten years, and Rob by far has been the most outstanding coach in terms of his abilities and principles. Robert showed the same level of dedication and ethical standards as the director of CAVC. He was an effective administrator of the club, maintaining his calm and assured demeanor despite the many responsibilities of his position. He also continued to coach during much of this period, no small feat in light of his other duties. We believe Robert will bring a a high level of commitment and principles to whatever position he applies for, and recommend him without reservation.
